Graduate and Professional Student Programming Board
About
The Graduate Student and Professional Programming Board (GSPB) is dedicated to enhancing the graduate and professional student experience on VCU’s MCV Campus by creating intentional, inclusive, and engaging programs that support connection, community, and personal growth. Through dynamic events and experiences, GSPB fosters a vibrant environment where students can build networks, recharge from academic life, and explore Richmond as an extension of their graduate journey. Two to four graduate student workers serve as the Graduate and Professional Student Programming Board who carry out programs based on the following focus areas.
Our Focus Areas
Professional Networking & Development
GSPB creates opportunities for graduate and professional students to expand their networks, engage with peers across disciplines, and connect with mentors and community leaders. These programs aim to support career readiness, collaboration, and long-term professional growth.
Social Connection & Community
We cultivate welcoming spaces and events where students can unwind, make meaningful connections, and build a supportive community. Whether it's a casual gathering or a themed celebration, GSPB promotes a sense of belonging and well-being among the MCV student body.
Off-Campus Exploration & Enrichment
GSPB encourages students to experience the culture, history, and vibrancy of Richmond through off-campus adventures and immersive activities. From local outings to city-wide experiences, these programs offer students a chance to engage beyond the classroom and connect with the broader community.
